Leather bound. 435pp. Octavo [22 cm] 3/4 brown leather with pebbled cloth covered boards, and a gilt stamped title and gilt ruled lines on the spine. Frontispiece portrait of Joseph Smith. Good condition. The extremities are rubbed and a little faded, and there is a small numerical label on the spine. The frontispiece is slightly offset on the title page. The endsheets have areas of darkening and discoloration, and the pages are age-toned. There are numerous stains on the preliminary pages. The largest stain is on the bottom fore edge corner of the frontispiece page, measuring roughly 1" wide by 1" deep. Pp. 88-89 are heavily stained, but the text is legible.
