216pp. Octavo [21 cm] Red cloth covered boards with the title in bold black ink. With the illustrated dust jacket designed by Frank Kelley Frease. Very good. The spine and covers show light edge wear, and the spine is a little bit rolled. In a good plus dust jacket, with subtle age-toning. There are a handful of small open and closed tears in the edges, and these tears have been backed with four pieces of tape. Reginald 13038.

Hidden throughout a future America set in 1972 are a group of incredibly gifted children, called Wonder Children. From the dust jacket- "With the appearance of her first story, 'In Hiding,' in Astounding Science Fiction she established herself as one of the most skillful and refreshing authors of this difficult-to-write literary form. To the original story and its sequels, 'Opening Doors' and 'New Foundations,' Mrs. Shiras has added new material to expand it into a full-length novel, one half of which has never appeared in any form up until the publication of the present volume."
