68pp. Quarto [28.5 cm] Illustrated glossy boards, with illustrated endsheets. Very good in a good dust jacket. The spine and covers are gently age-toned, rubbed and bumped. A child's first name has been written in pen on the front free endsheet. The dust jacket is in good condition, with mild age-toning and creasing, and multiple closed and open tears. The longest closed tear is 2" long, and the largest open tear is roughly 1" deep by 1" wide. There is also a 3/4" closed tear in the surface of the jacket's spine. Younger-Hirsch 41. First edition, with all points present.
When Dr. Seuss' first children's book, And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street, was published in 1937, it changed the face of children's literature forever.
