263; [2]pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Brown cloth lettered and pictorially stamped in black, green and orange. Two leaves of publisher's advertisements at the rear. Lacking the frontispiece. Good only. The extremities are mildly rubbed and stained. The text block has dropped a bit, and the spine is just a little rolled back. Publisher's prospectus mounted to the front free endsheet. Taped along the front hinge. There are sporadic small, light stains on the pages. From the collection of Berkeley book collector and letter press printer, John Ruyle, with his notations in pencil on the front free endsheet. First edition, variant 1. Beinvenue p. 286.
