362pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Blue cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover, and a gilt stamped circular border on the front cover. Good plus. The spine and covers are foxed and mildly rubbed, and the spine ends and corners of the covers are a little bumped. Subtle sunning to the spine. The text block edges are lightly foxed, and the pages are darkened. There are a number of small stains on the endsheets. Bleiler CFL.

Louis Tracy is most remembered for The Final War: a Story of the Great Betrayal, the first of his several future war novels. In this novel, the main character embodies ancient family memories.
