Slim quartos [30 cm] Stapled brown, green and black illustrated wraps. All volumes are in very good or good only condition. The wraps have brief intermittent areas of light soiling and rubbing. There are pencil markings on a couple of the front wraps. Many of the issues are chipped or have small closed tears at the spine ends and edges. A dozen or so pages have separated, and these pages are often chipped at the edges. The text block of the February 1924 issue is completely detached from the torn wraps, and the June 1924 and January 1925 issues lack several of the preliminary pages. The April 1923, October 1923, January 1925, and June 1925 issues have various degrees of moisture damage, and April 1923 and October 1923 have minimal losses from the first pages. The following issues are present: Volume 1, Number 1 - Volume 2, Number 1 (January - July), Volume 2, Number 3 - Volume 2, Number 5 (September - November) [1923]; Volume 3, Number 1 - Volume 4, Number - Volume 4, Number 5 (January - November) [1924]; Volume 5, Number 1 - Volume 5, Number 6 (January - June) [1925].

The American Nature Association was formed, according to the publisher, "to stimulate public interest in trees, plants, flowers, birds, animals, insects, fish, reptiles, and every phase of Nature and the Out of Doors, and to furnish its members information and advice on these subjects."
