New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1925. First edition. Hardcover. SIGNED. 326pp. Octavo [19 cm] Green cloth covered boards with yellow ink stamped titles on the backstrip and front cover. Very good. The extremities are gently rubbed and bumped, and he underlying boards are peeking through at a couple of the corners. There are several small splits in the cloth at the ends of the spine. The bottom edge of the text block is lightly scuffed. The front free endsheet is heavily darkened, the pages are mildly browned, and the preliminary pages are foxed. The edges of the frontispiece page are moisture stained. The author's photograph has been mounted to the front pastedown. News clip laid in. Item #40000

Inscribed by the author at length on the tipped-in front free endsheet. With a page of the author's notes mounted to the rear pastedown as well. Hollywood created photoplays of several stories by Frank H. Spearman. Today, he is most remembered for his stories of the railroad.
