428pp. Quarto [31 cm] 1/4 black leather with black moire cloth over boards. Top edge gilt. In a black paper covered slipcase, with a printed paper title label on the spine. The book is in very good condition, with moderate rubbing at the spine ends and along the edges of the covers. There is a 1/2" tear in the leather at the head of the spine. The text block is just starting to crack in several places. All tipped in color plates are present. The slipcase is in good condition, with mild rubbing. The underlying boards are exposed along the marginally sunned edges.
