There is a short gift inscription in ink on half-title, above the author's signature. The dust jacket has sporadic shallow edge tears. The longest tear is 1" deep.
Laura Gilpin, born in Colorado, is a 1917 graduate of the Clarence H. White School of Photography. Her career of fifty years has been varied and wide-ranging, and has established her as one of the most outstanding photographers of our time. In The Enduring Navaho, Gilpin captures the spirit and the land of the people with photographs accompanied by text filled with personal reminiscences of the author's experiences among the people.
