334pp. Quarto [28.5 cm] Black cloth over boards with gilt stamping on the backstrip and front board. Map endpapers. Illustrated with over 400 photographs. Very good. There is a small ink stamp on the rear pastedown. In a worn, price-clipped dust jacket. Several long tears in the edges have been backed with tape. There is a loss from the top edge that measures just under 3" wide by 2" deep.
