SIGNED. 447pp. Quarto [32 cm] Brown cloth over boards with black ink stamped lettering on the spine and front cover. Very good condition. There is a moisture stain at the foot of the spine, and on the surrounding areas of the boards. In a very good dust jacket, with mild yellowing and subtle surface and edge wear. There is a small stain on the bottom edge of the rear panel.
A monumental work, lavishly illustrated with more than 300 previously unpublished photographs, over 200 original charcoal and pencil drawings, and 16 color plates from his oil and watercolor paintings, all vividly portraying the beauty of Apache life.
