Signed by Utah Senator and Democrat, Frank E. Moss on the title page. Over the period of his career, Moss became more and more visible and eventually gained a measure of national prominence, especially with regard to environmental, consumer, and health care issues. He was concerned with water issues and wrote a book on the subject, The Water Crisis in 1967. He also worked to secure additional national parks for Utah and initiated important investigations into the care of the elderly in nursing and retirement homes. This particular book points out his desire for a nationwide planned drive against alcoholism.
