Treverton 2, Howard 1b. According to Edward N. Treverton, this edition precedes the fourth state and possibly the third state of Treverton 1. Das Totenschiff was the first book to appear with Traven's name. B. Traven is one of the most mysterious figures of 20th-century literature. His true identity is still subject to much doubt. Although Traven claimed to be an American, his most famous works were first published in Germany during the 1920s and 1930s. Nothing definitive is known about Traven's beginnings. Never the less, Traven's novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and they have sold more than 25 million copies.
