L. Sprague de Camp's first collection of verse. Sheldon Jaffery writes in Horrors and Unpleasantries: A Bibliographical History & Collector's Price Guide to Arkham House, "In the case of Demons and Dinosaurs, as told to me by de Camp, Derleth printed 500 copies, which sold out instantly. When he tried to reorder from his British printer, Villiers, the order was caught in the British postal strike of that year and never filled. Had the order been filled and a second printing accomplished, it would have marked the first departure, other than Derleth's Night's Yawning Peal, from the Arkham House policy of never reprinting other than Lovecraft books. The book, therefore, due to its extremely limited edition, remains very rare."
