Comments

Second published novel by De Voto, where he writes about one of the things he knows best, the Mormon tradition. This book has been called the first serious novel about Mormonism, and Wallace Stegner described this book as a "story of a frontier prophet and martyr not unlike Joseph Smith" Uncommon in the jacket.
