Title and author gilt on the backstrip with a red leather onlay of the facade of the "Pavilion". Near fine. Gentle rubbing to the corners of the boards. Former owner's small name stamp on verso of front free endparer, and former owner's bookplate on the front flyleaf. This work is illustrated with twenty full-page black and white woodcuts by Henry de Renaucourt. All of the plates have their tissue guards. The frontispiece is printed with red and black inks.
