215; [xvi]pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Floral endpapers. Frontispiece illustration of a half-tone engraving direct from a negative by a Chautauqua student. Good plus. There are multiple areas of light staining on the covers. The cloth at the spine ends is frayed, and the underlying boards are peeking through at the gently bumped corners of the covers. There is a contemporary owner's name and notation on the front flyleaf. The text block is sturdy, and the pages are clean.
With an Appendix on the Nature and Use of the Various Chemicals and Substances Employed in Photographic Practice by Prof. Charles Ehrmann. Part of the Scovill Photographic Series.
