SIGNED. 69pp. Duodecimo [19.5 cm] Gray cloth over boards with a gilt stamped title and single blind ruled borders on the covers. Good. There are several minor stains on the front cover, there is a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown, and numerous clippings have been mounted to the preliminary and terminal pages. The text block is cracked several times. The dust jacket is in good only condition as well, with light soiling and creasing, and several pieces of tape covering tears in, and losses from the paper of the jacket's spine. The edges have a handful of closed tears and small chips.
Irene Welch Grissom was appointed Poet-Laureate of Idaho, June, 1923 by Governor C.C. Moore in response to the request of the State Federation of Women's Clubs and the State Parent-Teacher Association. Signed by Grissom on the dedication page. Additionally signed by the author on a reproduced portrait of her, that has been mounted to the front free endsheet, and on a letter that is adhered to the rear endsheet.
