SIGNED. 228pp. Small quarto [25.5 cm] Navy blue cloth with a white ink stamped title on the spine, and an embossed title on the front cover. Very good. The edges of the covers and spine are moderately rubbed and bumped, and the fore edge of the text block is a little soiled. In a very good dust jacket, with multiple tiny, light stains, and chipping at the edges.

The Unsettling of America is Berry's personal and dramatic study of the way in which we use the land that helps us survive. Edward Abbey is quoted as saying, "Wendell Berry is our contemporary Isaiah, and in The Unsettling of America he brings together in clear, forceful terms all the doubts and questions that many have been raising for years." Signed by Wendell Berry on the title page.
