277 pp. Octavo [21.5 cm]. 1/4 black and tan boards with red and gold printing on spine; tight, square, and clean, with only a bit of wear at edges and corners of the boards. The dust jacket has two small losses at the head of the spine near the folds, rubbing/creasing/nicking along edges and folds, and dampstaining to rear panel. Overall still bright and solid. Housed in a custom made slip case.

The character of Jack Burns turns up in the later Abbey novels "The Monkey Wrench Gang," "Good News," and "Hayduke Lives!"
