"Like Casals and Picasso, Bufano is a dedicated artist. He lives only for his work, which is an expression of his love for human kind. Penniless the greater part of his life, he has nevertheless traveled about the world, from one corner to the other, with the ease of a bird of flight. He travels without impedimenta, sleeps with prince or beggar, is at home in any land." - Henry Miller
