160pp Oblong octavo [18.5 cm x 26 cm] Beige cloth over boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine. Very good. Ex-library, with an ink stamp on the top edge of the text block. There are large abraded and adhesive-stained areas on the pastedowns, and there are a couple of minor stains on the rear free endsheet. Else, the pages are clean and bright. In a very good dust jacket, with surface rubbing and multiple light scratches.
Jimmy Swinnerton was not only a painter of the American Southwest, but a cartoonist who worked with the San Francisco Examiner during the Gay Nineties.
