Writer and painter Alfred Lambourne's opus on the Great Salt Lake. The book reflects the year he spent living alone in a self built cabin on Gunnison Island in the Great Salt Lake. Illustrated with seven illustrations by his fellow artist, James T. Harwood. This is the author's final version of the work, having previously issued the book as newspaper and magazine articles, as a pamphlet and in a previous smaller book form in 1902. The original edition is from 1895.
