SIGNED. 120pp. Quarto [28 cm] Pale blue cloth over boards with blue ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover, and a vignette stamped in blue on the front cover. Illustrated endpapers. Good plus. Sunned at the spine and along the edges of the covers. There is a light moisture stain on the top edge of the front cover that measures 3 and 1/2" wide by 1/4" deep, and there is a much larger moisture stain on the rear board. Internally, very clean. The price-clipped dust jacket is worn, and there are multiple losses from the edges.
With pen-and-ink drawings and color plates by the author. Signed by Eric Sloan on the front free endpaper below the word "first edition." Eric Sloane is a noted landscape painter and the author of a number of books on Americana. This book represents his nostalgic return to Taos after thirty-five years.
