63pp. Quarto [26.5 cm] Red cloth-effect paper over boards with silver stamping on the spine and front cover. Very good. The front cover is very slightly concave. The dust jacket is in very good condition as well, with several areas of light soiling, and a short closed tear and large chip in the top edge of the rear panel.
With illustrations by Sir John Tenniel. From the Publisher's Note- "First published by Macmillan & Co Ltd. in 1890 under the title The Nursery 'Alice' and printed by the leading Victorian colour printer Edmund Evans, The Nursery Alice was adapted by Lewis Carroll from the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland especially to appeal to younger children. Sir John Tenniel reworked twenty of his original illustrations for the book- the only time he is believed to have coloured his own Alice drawings."
