574pp. Octavo [23 cm] Brown cloth with blind stamped borders to front boards. Title decoratively gilt stamped on the front board and backstrip. Floral endsheets and pastedowns. Very good. Corners of the boards are bumped and rubbed. Head and foot of the backstrip starting to fray. Internally clean. Bookseller's blind stamp on the floral front free endsheet and on the following blank.


BAL title page 1. Header for chapter V "Eschol Sellers." Final illustration listed as on page 212. On page 246 there is no comma following 'Hallelujah.' There is a period following 'Dr. Jackson' on page 280. Page 351 does not have the repeated line at the foot. The last two line of 352 are uncorrected. Page 353 has had the first two lines removed. Page 403 contains an illustration. Large fold-out plate at page 246-247, titled: "Map of the Salt Lick Branch of the Pacific R.R." Plate measures 75cm x 15cm. Plate has a small chip at the foot that effects "Branch" and the area immediately above. BAL 3557
