Engraved frontispiece portrait of Lorenzo Snow. Pp. 537&540 of first paginated part are incorrectly numbered 437&440. Second part has half title: Biographies (supplemental volume). Pages 353&362 of second paginated part are incorrectly numbered 363&372. Fair. Ex-library, with library stamps on the preliminary pages, and very occasionally in the text. The extremities are lightly rubbed, and the spine is moderately sunned and has a small patch of adhered paper. The front hinge is broken, the text block is cracked multiple times, and the text block is beginning to pull away from the spine. ***Missing pages 1-8, and half of p. 47/48 has been torn out. Pp. 353-368 are hanging on by a thread. The engravings are offset on the opposite pages, for the most part lightly offset.
