Flat-signed by Austin on both half-title and title page. From the library of Henriette "Henri" Harris, Santa Fe journalist and patron of the arts, with her ink name on front free endpaper. Envelope containing draft version of Santa Fe poet Witter Bynner's poem "Mary Austin" glued to rear pastedown; typewritten poem is signed by Bynner in ink, amended in pencil, and addressed to Harris in ink: "For Henri my collaborator". A review of Austin's book, written by Bynner for the Santa Fe New Mexican, has been pasted to rear free endpaper.
