Edited by Doran J. Baker, Charles S. Peterson, and Gene A. Ware. Introduction by Charles S. Peterson. Photographic Galleries by Richard B. Watkins and Paul R. Willie. With supplementary material, including information and references on the origins of Mendon, a chronology of events related to Mendon, tables of mayors, bishops, early settlers, and a bibliography. From the dust jacket- "With few artificialities and no abstractions, Sorensen's work enables the reader, whether Mendon resident, scholar, or history buff, to become something like an eyewitness of the early Mormon village and observe many of the processes through which these villages came to occupy a broad region of the West."
