Mounted photograph [12" x 10"] Maroon mount. No backstamp. Photographer not identified. The image is of a Colorado town and its surrounding scenery. There is a lengthy notation in pen, on the reverse, which states: "Near 'Beecher Island' the scene of the last stand of Indians against whites in Colorado. Wray Colorado in 1895. A pioneer town built on ranch property. Republican River used in irrigation of the fertile lands. 160 miles east of Denver..." Good, with wear and creasing to the mount, two taped areas on the reverse, and multiple light scratches on the surface of the photograph.
