431pp. Octavo [22 cm] Brown cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, a gilt stamped bust on the front cover, and elaborate embossed decorative patterns on the covers. Red text block edges. There are numerous small stains on the front cover, and there are several small chips in the cloth along the front joint of the spine. The underlying boards are exposed briefly along the edges. The text block is cracked several times, and the pages at the beginning and end of the text are foxed.
Volume XCII. Abraham Colles was considered to be a pioneer in the treatment of venereal diseases. Subjects include On the Operation of Lithotomy, Mercury During Venereal Eruptions, Hectic Fever, On Chancre and more.
