The book is rubbed at the extremities, and the underlying boards are occasionally exposed along the edges. The backstrip is coming away from the spine, and there are small losses from the paper at the ends of the spine. With a bookseller's ticket on the front pastedown, and a contemporary gift inscription on the front endsheet. The dust jacket is tattered and heavily torn.
