632pp. Octavo [23 cm] Original black cloth with gilt stamped titles and embossed borders on the front board and backstrip. In the first issue binding. The extremities are mildly rubbed, and the spine is a bit sunned. The front flyleaf has loss due to insect nibbling, and has a lengthy gift inscription. With occasional underlining in red on the pages, and very light moisture stains on the bottom fore edge corners of most of the pages.
Translation began in November of 1900, by George Sears, Edwin Smart, Frank E. Morris and George C. Spilsbury. 5,000 copies were printed in Salt Lake City in the spring of 1903. This volume is the first issue binding, with a geometric line design in each corner of the boards. Jacobs 412B. Flake/Draper 736.
