Volume contains all the Millennial Star issues from number 13 of volume 12, all the way to number 24 of volume 13. A chronological run of 36 issues. Issue for December 15, 1850 bound in the front of the volume, before the July 1850 issue. Issue for December 15, 1851 and the Index for volume 13 are bound before the January 1, 1851 issue. The Millennial Star was a newspaper penned for Saints in the United Kingdom. The Star provided the important function of disseminating doctrine and thoughts from leaders, and also informing the Saints of news from there American counterparts. Founded in 1840 by Parley Pratt it enjoyed the longest run of any L.D.S periodical, ceasing publication in 1970
