239pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] Burgundy cloth over boards. With the fold-out map at the rear. The extremities of the book are just a bit bumped and faded. In a dust jacket, with moderate rubbing to the edges, and several closed or thin tears in the edges. The longest tear is a thin, 1 1/2" tear in the top edge of the rear panel. The paper at the spine ends is chipped. Ex libris, Art Gallenson, with his bookplate on the front free endsheet. Gallenson was a pioneer of western commercial river running, helping to create river running expeditions in the Grand Canyon.
