512pp. Octavo. Full leather. Illustrated with graphs and diagrams. Index. Fair only. Rear board detached (but present). The front board is hanging on by a thread. The boards are heavily rubbed and mottled. Only a portion of the opriginal title label on the spine remains. There is a gouge in the leather of the spine. There are losses from the leather at the ends of the spine. There are 4 large abraded patches on the front board. Spotting to endsheets and pastedowns, minor moisture damage to foot of text block. Pages browned. As is.
