Comments

This was intended to be a series of Mormon Portraits, but no more were ever issued. The author was sent to Utah by the Berliner Tageblatt to investigate Mormonism. his uncommon 19th century portrait of Joseph Smith actually contains two title pages with completely different titles. The present title and also on the "first" title page is the following title: Mormon Portraits or the Truth about the Mormon Leaders from 1830 to 1886. Flake/Draper 10,034
