About Us
We carry an ever-changing inventory of art, ephemera, maps, photography, and postcards in addition to a vast selection of used and rare books along with a few new books. We also offer book purchasing and appraisal services.
The 4,000
square foot bookshop specializes in works on Utah and the Mormons, the
exploration and discovery of the American West with emphasis on the
Grand Canyon and the Colorado River, Yellowstone, and other national
parks and wilderness areas, along with antique maps, vintage
photography, postcards and all kinds of ephemera. Edward Abbey, Wallace
Stegner, B. Traven and the authors of the literary west are well
represented. We feature rare and collectible books in many fields
including Art, Photography, Children's and illustrated books, sets and
leather bound books. Our large selection of modern first editions
includes numerous autographed copies. First time visitors are always
surprised by the quality, depth and diversity of our holdings. Serious
collectors and casual browsers often treat the bookshop as a museum, and
browsing is encouraged (you can also search our
inventory online). A diverse and varied clientele are known to
inhabit the bookshop premises. You never know whom you might encounter.
We regularly feature art and photography exhibitions for the monthly gallery stroll, host book publication parties for authors, and have a regular series of poetry readings. Please check our events page to find out what's happening now.
