1953. Original edition. Paperback. 105pp. Quarto [27 cm] Xeroxed typewritten pages housed in plain paper wraps with the name "Phelps" handwritten in pen on the front wrap. Original photographs have been mounted to the pages throughout the text. Very good. The two covers have been taped together across the spine with three pieces of tape. The front cover has multiple tiny splash stains. There are occasional light brown stains on the pages. The pages where the photographs have been mounted, often have unavoidable glue stains on the back. Item #22390

Hyrum Smith Phelps was born in Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1836 into a Mormon family, and arrived in Salt Lake City in 1851. In 1884 he was put on trial for polygamy. Includes a photograph of the Phelps Home in 1880. Traces a large family through numerous generations.
