Terry Tempest Williams has signed and dated the front free endsheet. Her independent study for Spring Quarter, 1979, "Navajo Bibliography," has been tucked in. A letter to Williams has also been laid in. Williams is a Utah native, descended from numerous generations of Mormon pioneers. “I write through my biases of gender, geography, and culture,” she says. “I am a woman whose ideas have been shaped by the Great Basin and Colorado Plateau.”.
