Warmly inscribed by the author to his wife on the front free endsheet. Reverend Samuel Ellis Wishard was a veteran missionary for the Synod of Utah in the early 1890s. In March of 1892 he was chosen as a board of trustee by the Utah Presbytery to manage funding for the proposed four year college. Wishard began a massive funding campaign for the college that would last well into the early 1900s.
