From the jacket- "Hobnobbing with a maharajah, hunting wild elephants with a millionaire's beautiful halfe-caste daughter, lying in a dismal prison in Czarist Russia, in danger of having his head cut off for suspected theft, Jack Dalton had a spectacular flair for discovering the exotic and the dangerous in odd corners of the world."
