The edges of the covers are bumped and lightly rubbed. Very slight spine slant. There are several very small light stains, along with a barely perceptible ink stamp, on the front free endsheet. The pages are yellowed, however they are very clean. The dust jacket is in very good condition as well. The edges are mildly rubbed and chipped. The inside flaps and the internal non-visible, side of the jacket are slightly darkened. Item #26359

Herman Charles Bosman was a South African writer and journalist who became famous for capturing the rhythms of backveld Afrikaans speech although he wrote in English. He is widely viewed as the greatest short-story writer to come out of South Africa.
