Bannack, MT: H.W. Brown Photographer, [c.1875]. Photograph. Carte de visite of the Bannack Montana Masonic Lodge with two dozen children standing out front. Image is clean. H.W. Brown backstamp. Faint crease in lower left corner. Brown for a short time was based in Bannack before moving on to Glendale, Montana. Brown eventually settled in Bellingham, Washington. By the time this photograph was taken Bannack was no longer the territorial capitol, and had begun its steady decline. The last residents left in the 1970s, and the town is now a state park. This Masonic Lodge still stands today. Item #26577
