Salt Lake City: Self-published, 1907. Hardcover. Octavo [24.5 cm] 1/4 white cloth with tan paper covered boards and black ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Top edge gilt. Very good. The covers are gently soiled and rubbed. The underlying boards are exposed at the corners. The spine ends and corners of the covers are mildly bumped. The gilt stamped top edge is scratched. The title on the spine is very slightly faded, and there is a light moisture stain surrounding it. The endsheets are subtly discolored. There is a former owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. There is a 1 inch long split in the top of the rear endsheet along the hinge. Item #28422
One of a revised 250 copy limited edition. Alfred Lambourne was born in England and subsequently moved to the American West with the Mormon pioneers. He is most remembered for his paintings, but he also wrote short fiction for Mormon periodicals.
