Leather bound. 2265pp. Quarto [28 cm] 3/4 brown leather with black pebbled cloth covered boards, raised bands, gilt stamped titles and decorative designs on the spines and front covers. Marbled edges and endsheets. All volumes are in very good or good condition. The spines and covers are rubbed. The spines are faded. The leather on the covers is a bit mottled. The underlying boards are exposed at the corners. The bottom corners of the pages at the beginning of volume 1 have small losses due to insect nibbling. There are contemporary owner's notations on the front flyleaves. The text block of this volume is cracked at the beginning as well. The text block of volume 2 is cracked at the end. The pages are mildly browned, and may have occasional light foxing or stains. Item #29088
