From the dust jacket- "When he died in 1923, Brigham H. Roberts was one of the foremost LDS authors. A member of the First Council of the Seventy, one-time president of the Eastern States Mission, and for many years an Assistant Church Historian, he was well equipped by experience, knowledge and ability to produce the mighty literary output which stands to his credit."
