Four of the top edges of the text blocks have the publisher's red dye. The spines and covers are gently bumped and rubbed, and the edges of the text blocks are sporadically very lightly soiled. The covers are cocked here and there. The pages at the beginning have a former owner's blind stamps, and a couple of the pastedowns have small tears or abrasions. Notations in pen on the rear free endsheet of volume 2. Some marginalia and underlining in this volume and volume 1 as well. Pen mark on the fore edge of the text block of volume 8. There is a small stain on the bottom corner of the text block of volume 18. The first several pages of this volume are adhered along the inside margins. Fourteen of the books have glassine wrappers. The glassine wrappers are browned, and the edges have multiple small losses and tears. Some are a bit stained. Two of the volumes have dust jackets. The dust jackets are in very good condition. Very lightly rubbed and soiled. The edges are occasionally slightly bumped and chipped. Very good. Item #29845
