Limited edition. One of 1000. From the jacket- "The characters are not stereotypes, they are individuals. They work cattle, but it is neither their craft nor their that make them interesting. They are depicted in the course of their daily activity without hackneyed accounts of round-ups, roping, branding, bronc-busting, sex and violence. There is action a-plenty on the Fiddleback, but it is of a meaningful, convincing kind. In fact, to describe The Fiddleback as a book about cowboys would be to shoot the wrong man."
