The edges of the spine and covers are lightly rubbed and bumped. There are a handful of minor stains on the covers. The underlying boards are just beginning to peek through at the bottom right corner of the front cover. There is a lengthy contemporary gift inscription on the front free endsheet, and there is a thin strip of paper adhered to the top edge of the verso of the front free endsheet. No dust jacket.
